La PORTE— Cruise Night will return to downtown La Porte on Saturday from 6 to 8 p.m.
Cruise Night is open to vehicles 1993 and older. No 4 X 4s or motorcycles. The event is sponsored by Rusted Knuckles.
Registration is from 3 to 5 p.m. Registration is at the La Porte County Fairgrounds, Ind. 2 West, La Porte. The first 100 cruisers will receive a goodie bag and dash plaque.
Participants are asked to make a $10 donation per vehicle for police security. Vehicles must have a license plate and registration. Organizers have the right to refuse any vehicle. Pets and no riding in back of pick-ups without safety belts are prohibited.
Approved stickered vehicles only allowed on cruise route. There will be no exiting the fairgrounds after registering.
The Cruise Night Street Dance, with the Rock Doctors on stage, will be held at 6 p.m. on State Street.

Earlier in the day The Rusted Knuckles Car Show, located at the La Porte County Fairgrounds, will be held from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Registration is from 10 a.m. to noon. Participants are asked to make a $20 donation per show vehicle.
The first 100 show vehicles will receive a goodie bag, dash plaque and trophy. The car show is open to all vehicles and years.

The La Porte Police Department have announced parking restrictions, road closures and traffic detours in conjunction with the annual Cruise Night.
On Saturday there will be no parking allowed on Lincoln Way from the hours of 4 to 9 p.m. The police department will have signs posted indicating this.
The following road closures will also be in effect during the event, from 5:45 to 8:30 p.m., and detour signage will be in place:
• Lincoln Way from Adams Street to I Street; J Street from 1st Street to 6th Street; K St. from First Street to Ind. 2; Pine Lake Avenue overpass from Kroger Plaza to Lincoln Way.
• Also closed will be the cruise east turn around of Adams Street, from Lincoln Way to State Street; State Street, from Adams to Linwood; and Linwood, from State Street to Lincoln Way.
• Indiana Avenue will also be closed to semi-truck traffic and detoured at Boyd Boulevard.
