La Porte Juvenile Facility employees honored

Craig Stoll, left, Retention & Recruitment Specialist for the Indiana Department of Correction presented Jeremy Perrine and other staff at the La Porte Juvenile Facility with tokens of appreciation last week to mark Correctional Professionals Appreciation Week. Historically, IDOC honors employees, but due to COVID-19, many of the usual activities were canceled. “Correctional Employees are considered essential staff, and throughout this pandemic, our employees continue to come into work every day and protect our students and the public,” Stoll said. “Their dedication to the mission of the Indiana Department of Correction, especially in times such as these, is something to be acknowledged. It takes a true hero to report to work each and every day, risking their own safety as well as their families, to ensure the operations in their individual facilities are maintained. Thank you for what you do each and every day.”
