La PORTE — Some of La Porte’s most ailing roads will be receiving some much-needed care later this year.

On Monday, City Engineer Nick Minich shared his department’s $3.3 million 2020 paving plan with members of the La Porte City Council. This year, road crews plan to perform milling/resurfacing, full pavement replacement and other major work to nearly 10 miles worth of city streets – including many of the most the deteriorated roadways, Minich said.
