On behalf of the NewDay Foundation, I would like to thank everyone who supported the Resurrection Run/Walk and Pancake Breakfast on April 4 and the NewDay Concert Fundraiser on April 18.

These events were a success thanks to the support of our participants, the generous donations of food and water, silent auction items and awards, as well as monetary donations.

The success would not have been possible without the many volunteers, who truly believe in the cause of NewDay to bring comfort and support to local cancer patients and their families.

The effort of the NewDay Foundation is 100 percent volunteer. The funds raised from all of our events will help local cancer patients as they struggle with everyday challenges of treatments and obstacles they may face. The support includes transportation to and from treatments, financial assistance for everyday needs as well as advocacy groups, patient resources and "Bags of Hope." In 2014 more than $40,000 was spent helping local cancer patients. The need is great in our community. We need your continued support.

The NewDay Foundation is passionate about keeping the legacy of its founder alive and will always focus on her dream: "To be a loving support system to those battling and surviving cancer."

Together we are making a difference! Thank-you!
