The Bowl for the Cure Committee and the Michigan City Women's Bowling Association would like to sincerely thank everyone who helped make this year's bowl-a-thon a total success.

We had 79 bowlers this year and with their generous pledges and donations from some local businesses and individuals we were able to raise $8,920.

This money will be equally divided and donated to the Women's Centers at Franciscan St. Anthony Health and IU Health La Porte hospitals.

We want to thank L&R Body Shop; Devries Tire Co.; Douglas Weber, DDS; La Porte Savings Bank; Meijer; Valerie Haughtington, DDS; The Bould Family; Mike and Debbie Dill; Glenn Baima and Debbie Hamilton; Lynn Klemz and Sue Parks for their monetary donations.

We would also like to thank Four Winds Casino, Lakeshore Foods, Dairy Queen, Casey's Lanes, Dunkin Donuts, Steak N Shake, Galveston Steakhouse, Kabelin Ace Hardware, Chris's Car Care, Devries Tire Co. and Checks 4 Cash & Pawn for their gift certificates.

Once again Dave Backstrom donated the use of Lakeshore Lanes to us and he and his staff bent over backwards to help us in any way that they could. It was greatly appreciated.

We look forward to doing the Bowl for the Cure every year and are very thankful for everyone's generosity.
