Mr. and Mrs. Jack Busfield Sr.

Jack Busfield Sr. and Esther (Salo) Busfield, of La Porte, celebrate their 60th wedding anniversary on March 30 2017. They are lifelong residents of La Porte and both are graduates of La Porte High School. They were married March 30, 1957 at First Christian Church in La Porte.

They have two children, Jack Busfield Jr. of La Porte and Mary Willoughby (Busfield) of Phoenix, Arizona and one granddaughter Jaclyn Brook Busfield of Indiana.

Jack served in the United States Marine Corps and is a veteran of the Korean War. He worked for Allis Chalmers for more than 30 years and was active in Youth Baseball in the 1960s and 1970s. He coached Women's Softball, is a certified ASA umpire and has a plaque dedicated at the Softball Hall of Fame. Jack also worked for the La Porte City Park and Recreation Department and works part-time for the La Porte Community School Corp.

Esther worked for Lenicks Dairy, La Porte Savings Bank and Trust and worked for McDonalds Corp. in La Porte in the 1980s as a manager. She also worked for the YMCA in La Porte and currently works for the La Porte Community School Corp.

Mr. and Mrs. Busfield enjoy working out and are avid Chicago Cubs fans.
