Mr. and Mrs. Waine Dayton

Waine and Dorothy (Zollinger) Dayton, of Kingsford Heights, recently celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary.

They celebrated with a family party hosted at the home of Alison and Joe Travis in Crown Point.

They were married July 4, 1957 in Terre Haute, Indiana. Mattie Vaughn, the groom’s sister, served as maid of honor. James Vaughn, the grooms brother-in-law served as best man.

Their children are Tina (Jim) Herbst, Kingsford Heights; Natalie (Lewis) Mahoney, Little Rock, Arkansas; and Diana (Fred) Fuller, Kingford Heights. They have seven grandchildren: Jeremy Herbst, Patrick Fuller, Alison Travis, Christopher Fuller, Julie Herbst, Hannah Safirt and Erin Mahoney and three great-grandchildren: Madilynn, Alayna and Macy Herbst.

Dorothy owned and operated a restaurant in Kingsford Heights and is retired.

Waine was employed as an electrician and retired from American Roller in Walkerton.

They are members of Lighthouse Assembly of God in Kingsford Heights.
