La PORTE — They described La Porte’s 100 block of McClung Road as a quiet neighborhood — a place where someone could feel safe.

But for couple Robert and Charlene Peals, all that changed Monday morning when they learned their neighbor was allegedly murdered by her 47-year-old boyfriend and stored in the freezer at her home in La Porte.
