MICHIGAN CITY - Local business Josam, a supplier of drainage products, hosted the first of five distributions by this year's statewide Books for Youth program for foster children.

The freight company Cargo Services, the Indianapolis Colts and the Indiana Department of Education run the program, which distributes backpacks, each containing 25 books, varying according to age-specific reading level.
